Job Description

Join the Rona Kitchener team as a Seasonal Patio Furniture Builder! We’re looking for enthusiastic and detail-oriented individuals to assemble a wide variety of patio furniture for our showroom and customer orders during the busy spring and summer seasons. This is a hands-on role perfect for someone who enjoys working with tools, has a knack for following instructions, and takes pride in a job well done. Key Responsibilities

  • Assemble patio furniture accurately and efficiently according to manufacturer instructions.
  • Inspect all parts for damage or defects before assembly.
  • Organize and maintain a clean and safe work area.
  • Handle tools and equipment safely and correctly.
  • Report any missing parts or assembly issues to management.
  • Assist with moving assembled furniture to designated display areas or staging for customer pickup.
  • Ensure assembled products meet quality standards and are presentable for customers.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies.

Required Skills

  • Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to use hand and power tools.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow complex instructions.
  • Physical stamina to lift, carry, and move furniture components (up to 50 lbs).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Reliable and punctual.
  • Good organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in furniture assembly or general construction/handiwork.
  • Familiarity with various types of fasteners and assembly techniques.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced retail environment during peak seasons.
