Job Description
Join the Rona Kitchener team as a Seasonal Patio Furniture Builder! We’re looking for enthusiastic and detail-oriented individuals to assemble a wide variety of patio furniture for our showroom and customer orders during the busy spring and summer seasons. This is a hands-on role perfect for someone who enjoys working with tools, has a knack for following instructions, and takes pride in a job well done. Key Responsibilities
- Assemble patio furniture accurately and efficiently according to manufacturer instructions.
- Inspect all parts for damage or defects before assembly.
- Organize and maintain a clean and safe work area.
- Handle tools and equipment safely and correctly.
- Report any missing parts or assembly issues to management.
- Assist with moving assembled furniture to designated display areas or staging for customer pickup.
- Ensure assembled products meet quality standards and are presentable for customers.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies.
Required Skills
- Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to use hand and power tools.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow complex instructions.
- Physical stamina to lift, carry, and move furniture components (up to 50 lbs).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable and punctual.
- Good organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in furniture assembly or general construction/handiwork.
- Familiarity with various types of fasteners and assembly techniques.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced retail environment during peak seasons.
