Job Description
Join the United Parcel Service (UPS) team as a Package Sorter in our dynamic Orlando hub. This is a full-time, on-site position with a consistent Monday-Friday day shift schedule, offering a stable work environment for individuals who thrive in a fast-paced setting. Key Responsibilities
- Loading and unloading packages from conveyor belts, trailers, and delivery vehicles.
- Sorting packages manually and using automated equipment according to destination codes.
- Scanning packages and updating tracking information accurately.
- Identifying and reporting damaged packages or missing items.
- Maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
- Adhering to all safety protocols and company policies.
- Working efficiently to meet daily productivity goals.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift and move packages weighing up to 70 lbs (with assistance for heavier items).
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and reach for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately read labels and scan barcodes.
- Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Reliability and punctuality are essential.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, or similar environment.
- Familiarity with package handling equipment.
