Job Description
We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Garden Shed Stainer to join our team, focusing on refreshing and enhancing the wood colors of our display and customer garden sheds. This role is crucial for maintaining the aesthetic appeal and longevity of our outdoor products. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for color, a steady hand, and a commitment to quality craftsmanship. You will be responsible for preparing surfaces, applying stains, and ensuring a flawless finish that highlights the natural beauty of the wood.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare garden shed surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and masking as necessary to ensure optimal stain adhesion.
- Apply wood stains, sealants, and protective finishes using brushes, rollers, or sprayers to achieve desired color and finish.
- Carefully match existing wood colors for touch-ups or follow specific color schemes for new applications.
- Inspect finished surfaces for quality, ensuring even coverage, consistency, and adherence to aesthetic standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including proper storage and disposal of materials.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and use personal protective equipment (PPE) while handling stains and chemicals.
- Troubleshoot and correct minor imperfections or errors in staining applications.
- Provide regular updates on project progress and material needs to supervisors.
