Job Description
Are you looking for a dynamic, hands-on role this spring and summer? The Home Depot Canada in Winnipeg is seeking enthusiastic and detail-oriented individuals to join our team as Patio Lounge Assemblers. This temporary, peak-season position is crucial for ensuring our customers have access to ready-to-enjoy outdoor furniture during the warmer months. You will be responsible for efficiently and accurately assembling various patio furniture sets, ensuring high-quality standards and customer satisfaction. This is a great opportunity for those who enjoy working with their hands, have a knack for following instructions, and want to contribute to our vibrant retail environment during our busiest season.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble a variety of patio furniture, including chairs, tables, sofas, and other lounge pieces, according to manufacturer instructions.
- Ensure all assembled products meet quality standards and are free from defects or damage.
- Handle tools and equipment safely and responsibly.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Assist with moving assembled products to designated display or storage areas.
- Collaborate with store associates to ensure timely completion of assembly tasks.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies.
- Report any missing parts or damaged components to management promptly.
Required Skills
- Ability to read and interpret assembly instructions, diagrams, and schematics.
- Proficiency with basic hand tools (wrenches, screwdrivers, drills, etc.).
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
- Physical stamina and ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) regularly.
- Ability to stand, bend, and stoop for extended periods.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in furniture assembly, manufacturing, or a related hands-on role.
- Experience working in a retail or warehouse environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
