Job Description

Walmart Distribution Center in Oklahoma City is looking for enthusiastic and dedicated individuals to join our team as an Apprentice Forklift Driver. This is a fantastic opportunity for motivated candidates with no prior experience to learn a valuable trade from the ground up. Key Responsibilities
- Participate actively in all safety and operational training programs, demonstrating a strong commitment to learning.
- Under supervision, learn to safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment to move, stack, and retrieve products.
- Assist with loading and unloading trucks, ensuring proper handling and storage of merchandise.
- Accurately pick and prepare orders for shipment, verifying quantities and product information.
- Perform routine checks and minor maintenance on equipment, reporting any malfunctions or safety concerns immediately.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment within the warehouse.
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
Required Skills
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Ability to read and understand instructions in English.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes.
- Must be 18 years or older.
Preferred Qualifications
- Basic computer literacy.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or manufacturing setting (even non-forklift roles).
- A mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
