Godiva Chocolatier, a world-renowned leader in gourmet chocolate, is seeking an enthusiastic and customer-focused Gourmet Chocolate Shop Cashier to join our team in Austin, TX. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a luxurious retail environment, surrounded by exquisite treats, with the added benefit of free samples and special holiday hours! As a Gourmet Chocolate Shop Cashier, you will be the face of Godiva, providing exceptional service to our valued customers. You will process transactions accurately, assist customers with product selections, and ensure our boutique maintains its pristine appearance and inviting atmosphere. We are looking for someone who loves engaging with people, has an eye for detail, and shares our passion for the finest chocolates.
Key Responsibilities
- Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently using our POS system.
- Assist customers with product inquiries, recommendations, and selections.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing sales floor and counter area.
- Handle cash, credit card, and gift card transactions with precision.
- Assist with merchandising and restocking shelves to ensure product availability.
- Prepare and offer complimentary samples to customers, enhancing their shopping experience.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including food handling and safety standards.
- Open and close the store according to operational guidelines.
- Contribute to a positive and supportive team environment.
- Work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, to meet business needs.
Required Skills
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Basic mathematical skills for handling transactions.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Reliability and a strong work ethic.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
