Job Description

Key Responsibilities
- Assist patients with personal care, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Provide support with mobility, transfers, and ambulation as needed.
- Assist with light household tasks such as laundry, meal preparation, and tidying living areas.
- Monitor and report changes in patient's health status or behavior to the supervising nurse.
- Document care provided accurately and timely in accordance with agency policies.
- Engage patients in conversation and provide companionship.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and infection control procedures.
- Follow individualized care plans developed by a registered nurse or therapist.
Required Skills
- Current Florida Home Health Aide (HHA) certification or equivalent experience/training.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
- Reliable transportation and valid driver's license with current auto insurance.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Compassionate, patient, and reliable demeanor.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum of one year of experience as a Home Health Aide.
- Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Bilingual skills (e.g., Spanish, Haitian Creole).
