Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and analytically driven AI Algorithm Performance Analyst with a strong quantitative focus to join our innovative team. In this 100% remote role, you will be instrumental in evaluating, optimizing, and ensuring the robust performance of advanced AI algorithms critical to our cutting-edge systems. You will develop and implement sophisticated metrics, conduct rigorous statistical analysis, and provide actionable insights to enhance algorithm reliability, accuracy, and efficiency. This position requires a deep understanding of machine learning principles, statistical methodologies, and the ability to work with large, complex datasets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain robust performance metrics and evaluation frameworks for AI algorithms.
  • Conduct in-depth quantitative and statistical analysis of AI model outputs, identifying trends, anomalies, and areas for improvement.
  • Develop and validate hypotheses regarding algorithm behavior and performance characteristics.
  • Collaborate with AI researchers, data scientists, and engineers to translate performance insights into algorithm enhancements.
  • Generate comprehensive reports and presentations detailing algorithm performance, risks, and recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Stay abreast of the latest advancements in AI, machine learning, and statistical analysis techniques.
  • Contribute to the development of best practices for AI algorithm testing, validation, and deployment.
  • Ensure compliance with project requirements, industry standards, and ethical AI guidelines.

Required Skills

  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
  • 5+ years of experience in AI/ML model evaluation, quantitative analysis, or algorithm performance assessment.
  • Proficiency in statistical analysis tools and programming languages (e.g., Python, R, MATLAB).
  • Strong understanding of machine learning algorithms, deep learning architectures, and their underlying mathematical principles.
  • Experience with data visualization tools and techniques.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, remote environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ph.D. in a quantitative discipline.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and MLOps practices.
  • Familiarity with industry-standard AI/ML frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch).
  • Prior experience in the aerospace, defense, or critical infrastructure sectors.
  • Publications or presentations in relevant AI/ML conferences or journals.
