Job Description
Are you a friendly and energetic 15-year-old looking for your first job in a dynamic restaurant environment? Olive Garden in Wesley Chapel is seeking enthusiastic Host/Hostess team members to welcome our guests and manage our dining room flow. Key Responsibilities
- Warmly greet all guests upon arrival and thank them as they depart.
- Manage the waiting list and accurately quote wait times to ensure smooth dining experiences.
- Escort guests to their tables, ensuring proper table rotation for servers.
- Answer phone calls with a professional and courteous demeanor, assisting with inquiries and reservations.
- Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization of the host stand and front entrance area.
- Provide general information about the restaurant and menu items to guests.
- Support the serving staff as needed, including refilling water or assisting with table setup.
- Uphold Olive Garden's high standards of guest service and hospitality.
Required Skills
- Must be 15 years old and have the legal right to work in Florida.
- Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- A positive, outgoing, and friendly personality.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and move quickly in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
- Strong commitment to customer service and guest satisfaction.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented setting.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a customer-facing role (e.g., school events, volunteer work) is a plus but not required.
- Basic understanding of restaurant operations and guest flow.
