Job Description
We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Electronic Gaming Auditor to join our team on the night shift. In this critical role, you will be responsible for ensuring the integrity and compliance of our electronic gaming operations, primarily focusing on arcade machines and casino-style entertainment found within our resort properties. This position requires a keen eye for detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work independently during overnight hours. You will play a vital part in maintaining operational excellence, preventing fraud, and ensuring adherence to all internal policies and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine and ad-hoc audits of electronic gaming machines, including arcades, redemption games, and virtual casino-style terminals, to verify proper operation and payout percentages.
- Monitor and reconcile cash handling procedures, including coin and bill acceptor drops, ticket-in/ticket-out (TITO) systems, and cash box contents.
- Investigate discrepancies, irregular transactions, and potential fraud, documenting findings and escalating issues as necessary.
- Verify compliance with internal controls, company policies, and relevant local regulations pertaining to gaming operations.
- Prepare comprehensive audit reports detailing findings, recommendations, and corrective actions.
- Collaborate with gaming technicians, management, and security personnel to address and resolve operational issues.
- Maintain confidentiality of all sensitive information and uphold the highest ethical standards.
- Provide clear and concise communication regarding audit results to relevant stakeholders.
- Assist in the development and improvement of audit procedures and internal controls.
- Operate effectively and independently during night shift hours, demonstrating reliability and strong time management.
Required Skills
- Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team during night shifts.
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
- Basic understanding of mathematics and statistical concepts.
- Proficiency with computer systems, including Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).
- High level of integrity, honesty, and ethical conduct.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to identify and investigate discrepancies efficiently.
- Reliable transportation for night shift work.
Preferred Qualifications
- 1-2 years of experience in auditing, accounting, loss prevention, or a related field, preferably within the hospitality or gaming industry.
- Familiarity with electronic gaming equipment and systems.
- Knowledge of internal control frameworks and audit methodologies.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CISA, CIA) are a plus.
- Experience working in a resort or entertainment venue.
- Understanding of Hawaii state regulations pertaining to arcades and entertainment gaming.
