Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Formulations Scientist with a strong focus on tablet and liquid medicine development. This role is crucial for designing, developing, and optimizing pharmaceutical formulations, ensuring product quality, stability, and manufacturability. The successful candidate will work within a dynamic R&D team, contributing to the lifecycle of various drug products from pre-formulation to commercialization. This position offers an exciting opportunity to innovate within a state-of-the-art facility and directly impact patient health.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and execute experimental plans for the development of new tablet and liquid formulations.
- Optimize existing formulations to improve stability, bioavailability, and manufacturing efficiency.
- Conduct pre-formulation studies to characterize drug substances and excipients.
- Perform stability studies (ICH conditions) and interpret data to support formulation selection and shelf-life determination.
- Develop and validate analytical methods for formulation characterization and in-process controls.
- Collaborate with analytical development, process development, and manufacturing teams.
- Prepare detailed technical reports, study protocols, and regulatory documentation.
- Troubleshoot formulation and process-related issues during development and scale-up.
- Stay current with industry trends, regulatory guidelines, and new technologies in pharmaceutical formulation.
Required Skills
- Expertise in tablet and liquid dosage form development.
- Strong understanding of cGMP principles and regulatory requirements.
- Proficiency in analytical techniques for formulation characterization (HPLC, dissolution, spectroscopy).
- Excellent experimental design, data analysis, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related field.
- Experience with lyophilized products and/or sterile injectable formulations.
- Knowledge of Quality by Design (QbD) principles and Design of Experiments (DoE) methodologies.
- Familiarity with various drug delivery systems.
