Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and reliable General Labourer to join our dynamic construction team in the bustling Titanic Quarter of Belfast. This is an immediate start opportunity for individuals holding a valid White Card/CSCS certification. As a General Labourer, you will play a crucial role in supporting various construction activities on-site, ensuring projects run smoothly and safely. This position is ideal for someone physically fit, eager to learn, and committed to contributing to high-quality construction projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist skilled tradespeople with their daily tasks, including bricklayers, carpenters, and electricians.
  • Perform general site clean-up and waste removal to maintain a safe and organised work environment.
  • Load and unload materials, tools, and equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Prepare work areas, including digging trenches, mixing concrete, and moving aggregates.
  • Operate basic hand and power tools under supervision.
  • Erect and dismantle temporary structures, such as scaffolding or hoarding, following safety guidelines.
  • Adhere strictly to all health and safety regulations and site-specific rules.
  • Support the welfare of the site by maintaining welfare facilities.
  • Perform other ad-hoc duties as required by site management.

Required Skills

  • Valid White Card / CSCS card (or equivalent for Northern Ireland).
  • Proven ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Strong work ethic and reliability.
  • Ability to follow instructions accurately and efficiently.
  • Good understanding of on-site health and safety procedures.
  • Physical fitness and ability to perform manual labour tasks.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience working on a construction site.
  • Full clean UK driving licence.
  • Basic knowledge of construction materials and techniques.
