Job Description
We are seeking a motivated and reliable General Labourer to join our dynamic construction team in the bustling Titanic Quarter of Belfast. This is an immediate start opportunity for individuals holding a valid White Card/CSCS certification. As a General Labourer, you will play a crucial role in supporting various construction activities on-site, ensuring projects run smoothly and safely. This position is ideal for someone physically fit, eager to learn, and committed to contributing to high-quality construction projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist skilled tradespeople with their daily tasks, including bricklayers, carpenters, and electricians.
- Perform general site clean-up and waste removal to maintain a safe and organised work environment.
- Load and unload materials, tools, and equipment safely and efficiently.
- Prepare work areas, including digging trenches, mixing concrete, and moving aggregates.
- Operate basic hand and power tools under supervision.
- Erect and dismantle temporary structures, such as scaffolding or hoarding, following safety guidelines.
- Adhere strictly to all health and safety regulations and site-specific rules.
- Support the welfare of the site by maintaining welfare facilities.
- Perform other ad-hoc duties as required by site management.
Required Skills
- Valid White Card / CSCS card (or equivalent for Northern Ireland).
- Proven ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Strong work ethic and reliability.
- Ability to follow instructions accurately and efficiently.
- Good understanding of on-site health and safety procedures.
- Physical fitness and ability to perform manual labour tasks.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience working on a construction site.
- Full clean UK driving licence.
- Basic knowledge of construction materials and techniques.
