Job Description
Are you a high school student looking for your first job experience in a dynamic retail environment? Target in Green Bay, WI, is seeking enthusiastic and reliable High School Delivery Helpers to assist our team with local merchandise delivery operations. This entry-level, part-time position requires no driving; instead, you’ll be an essential part of our local delivery team, helping with loading, unloading, and organizing packages for efficient distribution. You will work closely with our experienced delivery drivers, ensuring that products reach our guests safely and on time. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain valuable work experience, develop teamwork skills, and contribute to a supportive community.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist delivery drivers with loading and unloading merchandise onto and off delivery vehicles.
- Organize packages and prepare them for efficient delivery routes.
- Verify accuracy of outgoing and incoming shipments against delivery manifests.
- Safely transport items to customers' doors (no driving required, but may involve walking items from vehicle to door).
- Maintain a clean and organized work area within the delivery hub or store.
- Provide excellent guest service and maintain a positive attitude during interactions.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies.
Required Skills
- Currently enrolled in high school or recently graduated.
- Ability to lift and carry packages weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Strong work ethic and reliability.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a customer service or retail environment (not required, but a plus).
- Familiarity with the Green Bay area.
