Job Description
Allied Universal is looking for dedicated individuals to join our team as Security Guards in Shreveport, LA. This is an exciting entry-level opportunity for those looking to start a career in security, as we will pay for your security licence training and certification. No prior experience is required; we provide comprehensive training to equip you with all the necessary skills. As a Security Guard, you will be the front-line presence protecting our clients’ assets, personnel, and reputation. You will maintain a safe and secure environment, respond to incidents, and ensure adherence to all safety protocols. We value professionalism, integrity, and a proactive approach to security. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular patrols of designated areas on foot or in a vehicle.
- Monitor surveillance equipment, inspect buildings, equipment, and access points.
- Control access to premises, issuing passes and verifying credentials.
- Respond to alarms, investigate disturbances, and provide assistance in emergency situations.
- Write detailed reports of daily activities and irregularities, such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences.
- Enforce company regulations and policies to maintain order and prevent crime.
- Provide excellent customer service to clients, visitors, and employees.
- De-escalate potentially volatile situations with calm and professional demeanor.
Required Skills
- Ability to obtain a security guard license (company-sponsored).
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Excellent observation and communication skills.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Basic computer proficiency.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Valid driver's license (preferred, but not always required for all sites).
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous customer service experience.
- First Aid/CPR certification (can be obtained during training).
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
