Job Description
Join the WHSmith team in Leith as a Part-Time Magazine Sorter. This role is perfect for students looking for flexible indoor work to fit around their studies. You will be responsible for the efficient sorting, stocking, and presentation of magazines and periodicals, ensuring our shelves are always well-organised and appealing to customers. This is an entry-level position where reliability and attention to detail are key.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive and unbox new magazine deliveries.
- Sort magazines according to publication title, date, and category.
- Efficiently stock shelves and display units, following planograms.
- Remove outdated or damaged magazines from sales floor.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock rotation.
- Maintain a clean and organised magazine section.
- Ensure promotional materials are correctly displayed.
Required Skills
- Ability to work accurately and efficiently.
- Good organizational skills.
- Reliable and punctual.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift light to moderate boxes.
- Basic numeracy and literacy skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a retail or stock handling environment (not essential, but a plus).
- An interest in magazines or publications.
