Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and visionary Human Resources (HR) Director to lead our HR function in our Birmingham office. This pivotal role involves driving strategic HR initiatives, fostering a positive and inclusive workplace culture, and ensuring our HR practices align with our global standards and local regulatory requirements. The successful candidate will be instrumental in talent acquisition, employee development, performance management, and HR policy formulation. This position offers visa sponsorship support for exceptional international candidates looking to make a significant impact in a leading global professional services firm.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy.
- Oversee and manage a comprehensive talent acquisition strategy, including visa sponsorship processes for international hires.
- Nurture a positive working environment and implement robust employee engagement programs.
- Manage the performance appraisal system that drives high performance and continuous development.
- Lead and manage HR staff, ensuring the HR department operates efficiently and effectively.
- Oversee HR budget, compensation, and benefits administration.
- Ensure compliance with all local and international employment laws and regulations.
- Develop and monitor overall HR strategies, systems, tactics, and procedures across the organization.
- Report to the executive team and provide support and guidance on all HR-related matters.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as an HR Director or in another senior HR management role for a minimum of 15 years.
- Demonstrable experience with HR metrics.
- Knowledge of HR systems and databases.
- Ability to architect strategy along with leadership skills.
- Excellent active listening, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Competence to build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the company.
- In-depth knowledge of UK labour law and HR best practices.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Human Resources Management or Business Administration.
- CIPD Level 7 qualification or equivalent.
- Experience working in a global professional services or consulting firm.
- Proficiency in HR analytics and reporting tools.
- Experience with international talent mobility and visa sponsorship processes.
