Job Description

We are seeking a highly responsible and meticulous Pharmaceutical Courier to join our team in Richmond, VA. This critical role involves the secure, indoor transportation of high-value and sensitive pharmaceutical products within our state-of-the-art distribution facility. The ideal candidate will possess an unwavering commitment to security protocols, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to maintaining the integrity of our pharmaceutical supply chain. This is a 100% indoor position, focused on internal logistics rather than external delivery routes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Securely transport pharmaceutical products, samples, and critical supplies between designated internal locations within our facility.
  • Strictly adhere to all company security protocols, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and regulatory guidelines (e.g., GMP, GDP) during all movements.
  • Verify product quantities, lot numbers, and integrity before, during, and after each transfer.
  • Maintain accurate, detailed logs and documentation for all transported items, ensuring proper chain-of-custody.
  • Operate internal material handling equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, hand trucks) safely and efficiently.
  • Promptly report any discrepancies, damages, security incidents, or deviations from protocol to management.
  • Collaborate effectively with warehouse, inventory, and security teams to ensure smooth and secure operations.
  • Ensure products are handled and stored under appropriate conditions during transit within the facility.
  • Participate in regular security and safety training programs.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in a logistics, warehouse, or secure handling environment (minimum 1 year).
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.
  • Demonstrated ability to follow strict protocols and procedures precisely.
  • Strong sense of integrity, trustworthiness, and responsibility.
  • Basic computer literacy for data entry and documentation.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
  • Physical ability to lift and move packages up to 50 lbs, and to stand/walk for extended periods.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in the pharmaceutical, healthcare, or high-security industry.
  • Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) or Good Distribution Practices (GDP).
  • Certification in material handling equipment operation (e.g., pallet jack, forklift).
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
