Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented WFH Teleperformance Compliance Officer with a strong regulatory focus to join our remote team. In this critical role, you will be responsible for ensuring Teleperformance’s operations adhere to all applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies, particularly those governing the telecommunications and business process outsourcing (BPO) industries. You will monitor regulatory changes, implement robust compliance programs, and provide expert guidance to safeguard our clients and our company against compliance risks. This is a 100% remote position.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor, interpret, and disseminate information on new and evolving regulatory requirements relevant to teleperformance operations (e.g., TCPA, PCI DSS, HIPAA, CCPA, GDPR).
- Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive compliance policies, procedures, and internal controls.
- Conduct regular internal audits and assessments to identify potential compliance gaps and ensure adherence to policies and regulatory standards.
- Provide expert guidance and training to operational teams and leadership on compliance best practices and regulatory obligations.
- Investigate and resolve compliance-related issues, incidents, or breaches in a timely and effective manner.
- Liaise with legal counsel, external auditors, and regulatory bodies as required.
- Prepare and submit necessary regulatory reports and documentation.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all compliance activities, documentation, and communications.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Compliance Officer, specifically within the telecommunications, BPO, or contact center industry.
- In-depth knowledge of key regulatory frameworks such as TCPA, PCI DSS, HIPAA, CCPA, and other relevant data privacy and consumer protection laws.
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Strong ability to interpret complex legal and regulatory documents and translate them into actionable business policies.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of explaining complex compliance concepts clearly to diverse audiences.
- Proficiency in compliance management software and tools.
- Self-motivated, highly organized, and capable of working independently in a fast-paced, remote work environment.
- Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Law, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
- Relevant compliance certifications (e.g., CCEP – Certified Compliance & Ethics Professional, CIPP – Certified Information Privacy Professional).
- Experience with global compliance standards and multi-jurisdictional regulatory environments.
- Fluency in Spanish is a plus, given our diverse client base.
