Job Description

Are you a highly skilled Microsoft technologist with a passion for problem-solving and a desire to work remotely? Insight is seeking a dedicated WFH Microsoft Troubleshooting Expert to join our growing team. This is an exceptional opportunity for an individual with deep expertise in Microsoft products and services to provide critical technical support, troubleshoot complex issues, and contribute to a supportive, professional environment from the comfort of your home office. Key Responsibilities

  • Provide expert-level remote technical support for a wide range of Microsoft products, including Windows operating systems (client and server), Microsoft 365, Azure Active Directory, and associated applications.
  • Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues, escalating to senior engineers or vendor support when necessary, while maintaining ownership of the ticket.
  • Utilize remote access tools and diagnostic utilities to identify and resolve problems efficiently.
  • Document all troubleshooting steps, resolutions, and configurations accurately in the ticketing system.
  • Communicate clearly and effectively with end-users and clients, explaining technical concepts in an understandable manner.
  • Contribute to the knowledge base by creating and updating technical documentation and best practices.
  • Participate in on-call rotation as required.
  • Mentor junior technicians and share knowledge to foster team growth.

Required Skills

  • Proven expertise in troubleshooting Windows 10/11 operating systems.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 administration and troubleshooting (Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, OneDrive).
  • Experience with Azure Active Directory user and group management, synchronization, and authentication issues.
  • Fundamental understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN).
  • Familiarity with remote monitoring and management (RMM) tools.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate, Azure Administrator Associate, or similar certifications.
  • Experience with PowerShell scripting for automation and advanced troubleshooting.
  • Familiarity with ITIL best practices for service management.
  • Experience supporting virtualized environments (VMware, Hyper-V).
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
