Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and meticulous Wellness Center Janitor to join our team in Fort Worth, TX. This is an evening position, perfect for individuals who thrive in a quiet, focused environment and take pride in maintaining immaculate spaces. You will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and sanitation of our wellness center, contributing to a serene and hygienic atmosphere for our clients and staff. Your attention to detail will be key in upholding our high standards of cleanliness, particularly during off-peak hours when the center is less busy. This role offers the opportunity to work independently, manage your tasks efficiently, and be an essential part of our facility’s operational success.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform general cleaning duties, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and waxing floors.
- Clean and sanitize restrooms, locker rooms, and changing areas, ensuring they meet health standards.
- Empty trash receptacles and transport waste to designated disposal areas.
- Dust and polish furniture, fixtures, and equipment.
- Clean windows, glass surfaces, and mirrors.
- Replenish supplies such as soap, paper towels, and toilet paper.
- Report any maintenance issues, damages, or safety hazards to management promptly.
- Follow all safety protocols and use cleaning chemicals safely and effectively.
- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and notify management when reordering is necessary.
- Adhere to a strict cleaning schedule to ensure all areas are thoroughly cleaned during evening shifts.
Required Skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality work.
- Physical ability to lift up to 25 pounds, stand, walk, bend, and stoop for extended periods.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Basic understanding of cleaning chemicals and their safe application.
- Knowledge of safety procedures in a commercial cleaning environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in janitorial or custodial services, especially in a wellness, healthcare, or similar facility.
- Familiarity with various cleaning equipment (e.g., floor buffers, carpet extractors).
- High school diploma or equivalent.
