Job Description

We are seeking a highly experienced and dedicated Weekend Nanny for a private family located in the vibrant Ironbound neighborhood of Newark, NJ. This role requires commitment to 12-hour shifts on both Saturday and Sunday, providing comprehensive care for two school-aged children (ages 6 and 9). The ideal candidate will be energetic, proactive, and possess a genuine love for children, capable of creating a stimulating, safe, and fun environment. Key Responsibilities

• Provide attentive and engaging care for two children aged 6 and 9 during weekend shifts (Saturday and Sunday, 12 hours each day).
• Plan and execute age-appropriate activities, including educational games, creative play, outdoor adventures, and structured learning opportunities.
• Prepare healthy meals and snacks for the children, ensuring dietary needs and preferences are met.
• Assist with homework and school projects, fostering a positive attitude towards learning.
• Manage children's laundry and ensure their play areas and bedrooms are tidy and organized.
• Administer medication if necessary (with prior training and parental consent).
• Maintain open and clear communication with parents regarding children's activities, development, and any concerns.
• Ensure the safety and well-being of the children at all times, both inside and outside the home.
• Organize and facilitate outings to parks, museums, and other local attractions.

Required Skills

• Proven experience as a nanny or childcare provider, particularly with school-aged children.
• CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain immediately).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated ability to create engaging and educational activities.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Reliable, punctual, and highly responsible.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
