Job Description
We are seeking a diligent and reliable Night Shift Sushi Conveyor Belt Cleaner to join our team at Kura Revolving Sushi Bar in Pasadena. This critical role ensures that our unique conveyor belt system, kitchen areas, and dining spaces are meticulously cleaned and sanitized after closing hours, preparing our restaurant for the next day’s service. The ideal candidate will be thorough, detail-oriented, and able to work independently to maintain our high standards of cleanliness and food safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning and sanitization of the sushi conveyor belt system, including all moving parts and surrounding surfaces, after closing.
- Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, workstations, floors, walls, and other designated areas.
- Empty trash receptacles and replace liners.
- Sweep, mop, and scrub floors to ensure a clean and non-slip surface.
- Clean and restock restrooms as needed.
- Adhere strictly to all health, safety, and hygiene standards and regulations.
- Report any maintenance issues or damaged equipment to management.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area throughout the shift.
Required Skills
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively during night shifts.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to high standards of cleanliness.
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, bend, lift (up to 25 lbs), and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.
- Reliability and punctuality are essential.
- Basic understanding of cleaning chemicals and safety procedures (training will be provided).
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a cleaning or janitorial role, especially in a restaurant or food service environment.
- Familiarity with health and safety regulations in a commercial kitchen setting.
