Job Description

Are you a creative and tech-savvy student with a passion for digital communication? Join Saint Leo University’s dynamic Online Team as a Social Media & Web focus member! This part-time, hybrid position offers an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in managing and enhancing our university’s online presence. You will contribute to content creation, web updates, and digital engagement strategies, helping to shape how Saint Leo University connects with prospective students, current students, alumni, and the broader community. This role is perfect for someone eager to learn, contribute, and grow within a professional marketing and communications environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in developing and scheduling engaging content for various social media platforms (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn).
  • Support the maintenance and updating of university web pages using our content management system (CMS).
  • Monitor social media channels for trends, engagement opportunities, and community feedback.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to brainstorm new content ideas and campaigns.
  • Conduct basic research on digital marketing best practices and emerging social media tools.
  • Assist with tracking and reporting on social media and web analytics.
  • Ensure all online content aligns with Saint Leo University's brand guidelines and messaging.

Required Skills

  • Current enrollment as a student (undergraduate or graduate) at an accredited institution.
  • Basic understanding of major social media platforms and their functionalities.
  • Proficiency in written and verbal communication in English.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Enthusiasm for learning new technologies and digital marketing strategies.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with content management systems (e.g., WordPress, Drupal, SharePoint).
