Job Description

We are seeking an enthusiastic and creative Remote Instagram Community Manager to join our social media team, with a specialized focus on Netflix-related content. This is a unique opportunity to engage with fans, build strong communities, and amplify our presence around popular Netflix titles and discussions. You will be responsible for monitoring, responding to, and fostering conversations on Instagram, ensuring our brand voice is consistent and engaging. This role requires a deep understanding of Instagram trends, community building best practices, and a passion for entertainment content, particularly that found on Netflix. This is a 100% remote position, allowing you to work from anywhere within the United States.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and grow our Instagram community through proactive engagement, replies, and direct messages.
  • Monitor social listening tools for mentions of Netflix titles, relevant conversations, and trending topics.
  • Develop and maintain a consistent brand voice for all Instagram interactions, aligned with our overall social strategy.
  • Identify and engage with key influencers, fan accounts, and content creators within the Netflix ecosystem.
  • Collaborate with content creators and marketing teams to support campaigns and content launches.
  • Report on community sentiment, engagement metrics, and emerging trends.
  • Proactively identify opportunities for user-generated content and community spotlights.
  • Address community feedback, questions, and concerns with professionalism and empathy.
  • Stay up-to-date with Instagram algorithm changes, features, and best practices.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in social media community management, specifically on Instagram.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Deep familiarity with Netflix content, series, and audience trends.
  • Strong understanding of Instagram's platform, features, and analytics.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote environment.
  • Experience with social listening and community management tools.
  • Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.
  • Experience working with entertainment brands or media companies.
  • Basic knowledge of graphic design principles or tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Express).
  • Familiarity with social media advertising and content promotion strategies.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle crisis communications or sensitive community issues.
