Job Description
Join the FedEx Ground team as a Small Parcel Warehouse Hand in Arvada, CO! This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking for a stable position in a clean, indoor environment. You will be responsible for handling small packages, ensuring their timely and accurate movement through our state-of-the-art facility. We value safety, efficiency, and a positive team atmosphere. No prior experience is required, as we provide comprehensive training for all new hires. This role is crucial to our daily operations, ensuring packages reach their destinations safely and on schedule.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely load and unload small parcels from trucks and conveyor belts.
- Sort packages by destination, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Scan packages using handheld devices to track their movement.
- Assist with general warehouse duties, maintaining a clean and organized work area.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies.
- Operate manual pallet jacks or other equipment as needed (training provided).
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily operational goals.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift and move packages weighing up to 50 lbs regularly.
- Capable of standing, walking, bending, and reaching for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication skills and a team-oriented attitude.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment (even if informal).
- Experience using handheld scanning devices.
