Job Description
Join our dedicated night shift team as a Shopping Mall Floor Polisher in Sparks, Nevada! This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to start a career in facility services. We provide comprehensive machine training, so no prior experience is required. You will be responsible for maintaining the pristine appearance of our client’s shopping mall floors, ensuring a clean and safe environment for visitors and tenants. Your attention to detail and commitment to quality will be key to your success in this role.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate industrial floor polishing and cleaning machinery, including buffers, scrubbers, and sweepers, after receiving full training.
- Clean and maintain all floor surfaces within the shopping mall, including tile, concrete, and other hard surfaces.
- Perform routine and deep cleaning tasks, including stripping, waxing, and buffing floors.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or maintenance needs to the supervisor.
- Ensure proper use and storage of cleaning chemicals and supplies.
- Work independently and as part of a team to complete assigned tasks efficiently during night hours.
- Assist with other general cleaning duties as needed.
- Maintain a professional demeanor and appearance while on duty.
Required Skills
- Ability to work night shifts (typically 10 PM – 6 AM).
- Physical stamina and ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods.
- Strong work ethic and reliability.
- Ability to follow instructions and safety guidelines.
- Comfortable operating machinery after training.
- Basic communication skills.
- Must pass a background check and drug screen.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a janitorial or cleaning role is a plus, but not required.
- Familiarity with commercial cleaning equipment (e.g., floor buffers, scrubbers) is a bonus.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
