Job Description
As a Seasonal UPS Courier, you will play a vital role in connecting our customers with their packages during our busiest times of the year. This position is perfect for motivated individuals who enjoy working independently and are looking for a dynamic, fast-paced role that keeps them active. No prior experience is necessary – we provide comprehensive training to ensure your success. You will be responsible for picking up and delivering packages safely and efficiently, ensuring excellent customer service, and upholding UPS’s commitment to reliability. Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate a UPS package car or vehicle to pick up and deliver packages to residential and commercial customers.
- Scan and log packages accurately using handheld devices.
- Maintain detailed delivery and pickup records.
- Provide excellent customer service during all interactions.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and UPS safety guidelines.
- Handle packages with care, ensuring they arrive in good condition.
- Work efficiently to meet daily delivery targets and schedules.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and dispatch regarding route progress and any issues encountered.
Required Skills
- Valid driver's license (Class C, non-CDL) and a clean driving record.
- Ability to lift up to 70 lbs independently and up to 150 lbs with assistance.
- Strong work ethic and reliability.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing routes.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- No prior experience required; comprehensive training provided.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with the Minneapolis metropolitan area.
- Previous experience in a customer-facing or delivery role (even if informal).
- High school diploma or GED.
