Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated Science & Tech Policy Aide to join our dynamic team in Cleveland, Ohio. In this pivotal role, you will support critical innovation initiatives and provide policy analysis specifically tailored to NASA-related projects and broader scientific and technological policy landscapes. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to high-impact projects at the intersection of government, science, and cutting-edge technology. You will assist in research, analysis, and the development of policy recommendations, ensuring alignment with national strategic objectives and scientific advancements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive research and analysis on science and technology policy issues, with a specific focus on space policy, innovation ecosystems, and NASA programs.
  • Draft policy briefs, memos, reports, and presentations for senior leadership and government clients.
  • Assist in stakeholder engagement and coordination efforts, including federal agencies, industry partners, and academic institutions.
  • Monitor legislative and regulatory developments relevant to science, technology, and space exploration.
  • Support the development and implementation of strategic communication plans related to policy initiatives.
  • Facilitate meetings, workshops, and working groups, preparing agendas, minutes, and follow-up actions.
  • Contribute to proposal development and project management activities as needed.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Public Policy, Political Science, Science & Technology Studies, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in policy research, analysis, or program support within a government, think tank, or consulting environment.
  • Strong understanding of the U.S. federal policymaking process and government operations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to synthesize complex information for diverse audiences.
  • Proven ability to conduct independent research and critical analysis.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in a relevant field.
  • Prior experience working with or for NASA, other federal science agencies, or within the aerospace industry.
  • Familiarity with innovation policy frameworks and emerging technologies.
  • Demonstrated interest in space exploration and scientific research.
