Job Description

Are you a motivated self-starter with a passion for sales and customer service? Frito-Lay is looking for a dynamic Route Sales Representative to join our team in Carmel, Indiana. In this role, you will be responsible for selling, delivering, and merchandising our wide range of snack products to assigned retail accounts. You’ll drive a box truck, manage your route, build strong customer relationships, and ensure our products are always available and attractively displayed. Key Responsibilities

  • Drive a box truck to deliver Frito-Lay products to various retail accounts within an assigned territory.
  • Execute daily sales calls, merchandising activities, and product rotations.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with store managers and personnel, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Identify sales opportunities and introduce new products or promotions to increase sales volume.
  • Manage product inventory, orders, and returns efficiently.
  • Ensure shelves are fully stocked, products are properly rotated, and displays are neat and appealing.
  • Operate handheld devices for invoicing, inventory management, and route tracking.
  • Adhere to all safety standards, company policies, and Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
  • Accurately complete all necessary paperwork and reporting.
  • Collect payments from customers and reconcile daily sales records.

Required Skills

  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to obtain a DOT medical card (company will assist).
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Customer service orientation with a problem-solving attitude.
  • Basic math skills and experience handling cash/transactions.
  • Physical ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds regularly, and to stand, walk, and climb in and out of a box truck throughout the shift.
  • Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous route sales or direct store delivery (DSD) experience.
  • Experience operating a box truck or similar commercial vehicle.
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Basic computer literacy and comfort using handheld devices.
