Job Description
We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Recipe Content Developer to join our dynamic team. This role will be pivotal in expanding our culinary content presence on Pinterest, driving engagement, and reaching new audiences. You will be responsible for conceptualizing, developing, testing, and optimizing recipes specifically for the Pinterest platform, ensuring they are visually appealing, easy to follow, and aligned with current food trends and our brand’s editorial guidelines. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food, a deep understanding of Pinterest’s best practices, and a knack for creating compelling visual and textual content.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, test, and refine original recipes, ensuring accuracy, deliciousness, and suitability for various dietary needs and skill levels.
- Create visually stunning and Pinterest-optimized content, including high-quality photos, short videos, and compelling pin descriptions.
- Conduct thorough research on food trends, dietary preferences, and Pinterest analytics to inform content strategy and identify new opportunities.
- Collaborate with editorial, photo/video, and social media teams to ensure a cohesive content strategy across all platforms.
- Optimize existing recipe content for Pinterest, updating visuals, descriptions, and keywords to improve performance.
- Monitor Pinterest performance metrics, analyze data, and report on content effectiveness to drive continuous improvement.
- Maintain an organized database of recipes, ingredients, and nutritional information.
- Stay current with Pinterest algorithm changes, new features, and best practices for content creation and distribution.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in recipe development and testing.
- Strong understanding of Pinterest as a content discovery platform, including optimal pin formats, keywords, and audience engagement strategies.
- Excellent food photography and basic video creation/editing skills (mobile-first a plus).
- Proficiency in content creation tools and image editing software.
- Exceptional written communication skills with an eye for detail and an engaging voice.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Culinary degree or equivalent professional culinary experience.
- Experience with content management systems (CMS).
- Familiarity with SEO principles for recipe content.
- Experience using Pinterest Analytics or similar data analysis tools.
