Job Description
Are you meticulous, reliable, and possess an exceptional eye for detail? PepsiCo is seeking a dedicated Quality Control Packer to join our West Valley City team. In this critical role, you will be responsible for ensuring that all products meet our stringent quality standards before they reach our customers. This position requires precise handling, thorough inspection, and accurate packaging of various consumer goods. Key Responsibilities
- Inspect products for defects, damage, or inconsistencies according to established quality guidelines.
- Accurately pack finished products into appropriate containers, ensuring proper labeling and count.
- Verify that packaging materials and components meet specifications.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation, adhering to all safety and sanitation protocols.
- Document inspection results, packaging data, and any detected non-conformances.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to address quality issues and improve processes.
- Operate basic packaging equipment as needed, following safety procedures.
- Adhere strictly to all company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Required Skills
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong visual acuity to detect minor imperfections.
- Ability to follow precise instructions and guidelines.
- Basic math skills for counting and measurement verification.
- Good communication skills to report findings clearly.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
- Capacity to lift and move up to 25 pounds regularly.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing, packaging, or quality control environment.
- Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) or similar quality systems.
