Job Description
We are seeking a highly creative and dynamic Pinterest Motion Graphics Artist with a strong focus on high-energy ad content. In this role, you will be instrumental in conceptualizing, designing, and animating compelling motion graphics for Pinterest advertising campaigns. You will work closely with our creative and media teams to produce visually stunning and highly effective video ads that capture attention and drive engagement. The ideal candidate will have a keen understanding of Pinterest’s platform nuances, strong animation skills, and a portfolio that demonstrates a flair for vibrant, performance-driven visual storytelling.
Key Responsibilities
- Conceptualize and create engaging motion graphics for various Pinterest ad formats, including static image transformations, video pins, and story pins.
- Collaborate with creative directors, art directors, copywriters, and strategists to translate campaign objectives into dynamic visual content.
- Develop and maintain a high standard of visual design, animation quality, and brand consistency across all projects.
- Edit and refine existing video assets to optimize them for Pinterest ad performance, incorporating motion graphics elements.
- Stay up-to-date with current Pinterest trends, ad best practices, and emerging motion graphic techniques.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines and delivering high-quality work under pressure.
- Provide creative input and recommendations during brainstorming sessions and project reviews.
- Ensure all motion graphics are optimized for various devices and viewing experiences.
- Archive and organize project files efficiently for future access and collaboration.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in Adobe After Effects, including advanced animation techniques and plugins.
- Strong understanding of design principles, typography, color theory, and visual composition.
- Experience with video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro.
- Ability to interpret creative briefs and develop unique, impactful motion graphic solutions.
- Solid understanding of social media advertising, particularly on Pinterest.
- Demonstrated ability to create high-energy, performance-driven ad content.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- A strong portfolio showcasing motion graphics work, especially for advertising.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Animation, Film Production, or a related field.
- Experience with 3D animation software (e.g., Cinema 4D, Blender, Maya).
- Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator for asset creation.
- Understanding of conversion-focused design and A/B testing methodologies.
- Experience working in an agency environment or for a brand with a significant digital presence.
