Job Description
Are you an observant animal lover with a passion for excellent customer service? PetSmart is seeking dedicated and discreet individuals to join our team as a Pet Store Mystery Shopper. In this flexible, part-time role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring our stores provide a consistently high-quality experience for both pets and their owners. You will visit designated PetSmart locations, evaluating everything from store cleanliness and product availability to staff knowledge and customer interaction, then provide detailed feedback through our online reporting system. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to improving standards and ensuring PetSmart remains a leader in pet care, all while enjoying flexible hours and working independently.
Key Responsibilities
- Discreetly visit designated PetSmart stores in Center City, Philadelphia, posing as a regular customer.
- Objectively assess and document specific aspects of the store environment, including cleanliness, merchandise presentation, and product availability.
- Evaluate the quality of customer service, staff attentiveness, product knowledge, and adherence to company standards.
- Accurately complete detailed online reports after each visit, providing constructive feedback and specific examples.
- Adhere to all guidelines and scenarios provided for each shopping assignment.
- Maintain strict confidentiality regarding all aspects of your mystery shopping assignments and observations.
Required Skills
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong observation skills.
- Reliable and punctual, with the ability to meet deadlines for report submissions.
- Ability to follow instructions meticulously and execute shopping scenarios accurately.
- Basic computer proficiency and comfort with online reporting systems.

- Excellent memory and the ability to recall specific details.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience as a mystery shopper is a plus.
- Previous experience in retail or customer service environments.
- Familiarity with pet products and services.
- Strong written communication skills for clear and concise reporting.
