Job Description
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Part-time Order Filler to join our e-commerce warehouse team in Corktown, Detroit. This role is crucial for our weekend operations, ensuring that customer orders are accurately picked, packed, and prepared for shipment. You will play a vital role in maintaining our high standards of efficiency and customer satisfaction during our busiest periods. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, able to work in a fast-paced environment, and committed to punctuality and teamwork.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately pick and retrieve products from warehouse shelves based on order sheets or using handheld scanning devices.
- Carefully pack items into appropriate shipping containers, ensuring product safety during transit.
- Scan items to update inventory and track order progress through our system.
- Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks or carts safely and efficiently (training provided).
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, adhering to all company safety policies and procedures.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock replenishment as needed.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve daily productivity goals.
- Handle products with care to prevent damage.
- Report any discrepancies or issues with products or orders to a supervisor.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift up to 49 pounds regularly, and stand/walk for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in order fulfillment.
- Basic computer or handheld scanner operation skills.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality, especially for weekend shifts.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, fast-paced warehouse environment.
- Commitment to safety protocols and procedures.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and tasks.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a warehouse, fulfillment center, or similar logistics role.
- Familiarity with RF scanners or warehouse management systems.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
