Job Description

We are seeking enthusiastic and reliable Part-time Hotel Porters to join our dedicated team, specifically for weekend warrior shifts. This role is perfect for individuals looking for flexible hours to complement their schedule while providing essential support to our guests and hotel operations. As a Hotel Porter, you will be the welcoming face for our guests, assisting with luggage, directing them to their rooms, and ensuring their stay starts and ends smoothly. You will play a crucial role in maintaining the high standards of service our guests expect from Marriott.

Key Responsibilities

  • Warmly greet guests upon arrival and departure, offering assistance with luggage.
  • Safely transport guest luggage to and from rooms and vehicles.
  • Assist guests with inquiries, providing directions and information about hotel facilities and local attractions.
  • Manage and organize luggage storage areas.
  • Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the lobby and entrance areas.
  • Deliver newspapers, messages, and other items to guest rooms as required.
  • Assist other departments as needed to ensure smooth hotel operations.
  • Operate hotel vehicles (if licensed and required) for guest transport.
  • Adhere to all hotel safety and security procedures.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to lift and carry heavy luggage.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to work weekend shifts, including mornings, afternoons, and evenings.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a customer service or hospitality role.
  • Knowledge of the local area and popular attractions in London.
  • Valid UK driving license.
