Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Part-time Dishwasher to join our kitchen team for weekend evening shifts. In this vital role, you will ensure our kitchen operations run smoothly by maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and organization. This position is perfect for someone who is reliable, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. You will be instrumental in supporting our culinary staff and contributing to the overall guest experience through meticulous attention to hygiene.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate dishwashing equipment efficiently and safely to clean all dishes, glassware, and kitchen utensils.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the dishwashing area, kitchen floors, and other designated areas.
- Sort and stack clean dishes, ensuring proper storage and accessibility for the kitchen team.
- Assist with basic food prep tasks as needed, such as washing vegetables or portioning ingredients.
- Empty trash receptacles and transport waste to designated disposal areas.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including proper handling of cleaning chemicals.
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to ensure a continuous flow of clean dishes.
- Perform other duties as assigned by kitchen management to support overall operations.
Required Skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Willingness to work in a hot, damp, and noisy environment.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to cleanliness.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Reliable and punctual, especially for weekend evening shifts.
- Basic understanding of kitchen hygiene and safety practices.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in a kitchen or dishwashing role is a plus, but not required.
- Current Utah Food Handler's Permit (or willingness to obtain one upon hire).
- A positive attitude and a strong work ethic.
