Job Description
We are actively seeking compassionate and dedicated Overnight Caregivers for sleep-in shifts to join our growing team in Wesley Chapel, Florida. This role offers premium night rates for providing essential, non-medical support to clients in their homes during the overnight hours. As an Overnight Caregiver, you will ensure our clients’ safety, comfort, and well-being, allowing them to rest peacefully while you are available to assist as needed. Key Responsibilities
- Provide attentive supervision and companionship during overnight hours.
- Assist clients with personal care tasks as needed (e.g., toileting, hygiene, dressing) upon waking or during the night.
- Monitor client's sleep patterns and general well-being, reporting any changes or concerns promptly.
- Respond to client needs and emergencies effectively and calmly.
- Perform light household tasks that do not disturb the client's sleep.
- Ensure client's environment is safe and comfortable throughout the night.
- Document care provided and observations accurately.
- Communicate effectively with clients, their families, and the BrightStar Care team.
Required Skills
- Proven ability to provide compassionate and reliable care.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to respond quickly and calmly to emergencies.
- Strong observational skills and attention to detail.
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
- Ability to lift and move clients as needed (up to 50 lbs).
Preferred Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Home Health Aide (HHA) certification.
- Minimum of 6 months of verifiable experience in caregiving or a related field.
- Experience with overnight or sleep-in shifts.
- CPR certification.
- Basic knowledge of first aid.
