Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Junior Online Fact Checker to join our remote team. You will work independently to evaluate sources, cross-reference data, and flag discrepancies, contributing directly to the quality and credibility of our digital publications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Verify facts, statistics, dates, names, and other data points in articles, reports, and digital content prior to publication.
  • Conduct thorough research using credible sources to validate information and identify potential inaccuracies.
  • Cross-reference information from multiple reliable sources to ensure accuracy and context.
  • Identify and flag misleading or unsubstantiated claims.
  • Communicate findings clearly and concisely to content creators and editors.
  • Maintain strict adherence to editorial guidelines and fact-checking protocols.
  • Stay updated on current events and common misinformation trends.
