Job Description
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Nanny to join a loving family in Charlotte, NC. This unique opportunity comes with a full kit of engaging and age-appropriate educational activities, empowering you to create stimulating learning experiences for children aged 3 and 6. The ideal candidate will be passionate about child development, proactive in implementing educational play, and committed to providing a safe, nurturing, and fun environment. You will be responsible for daily care, facilitating learning through provided materials, and light household duties related to the children. This is a full-time position offering consistent hours and a chance to make a significant impact on a child’s early development.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide attentive, loving, and educational care for children aged 3 and 6.
- Utilize the provided kit of educational activities to plan and facilitate engaging learning experiences daily.
- Organize and participate in age-appropriate play, both indoor and outdoor.
- Prepare healthy meals and snacks for the children.
- Assist with children's hygiene, dressing, and nap/sleep routines.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized environment for the children, including tidying play areas and children's rooms.
- Transport children to and from school, appointments, or extracurricular activities as needed.
- Communicate regularly and openly with parents regarding children's progress, activities, and any concerns.
- Encourage positive behavior and social development.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 1 year of professional childcare or nannying experience.
- Proven ability to engage children in educational and creative activities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain immediately).
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check.
- Genuine love for children and a patient, nurturing demeanor.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field.
- Experience with curriculum development or implementing structured learning plans for young children.
- Knowledge of various educational philosophies (e.g., Montessori, Reggio Emilia).
- Experience caring for multiple children simultaneously.
- Fluency in a second language.
