Job Description
We are actively seeking a highly skilled and compassionate MRI / CT Radiologic Technologist to join our dynamic imaging team in Elgin, Illinois. This is a unique opportunity for qualified international candidates, as visa sponsorship will be provided. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing high-quality MRI and CT scans, ensuring patient safety and comfort, and maintaining strict adherence to established protocols. You will play a crucial role in diagnostic imaging, contributing to accurate diagnoses and effective patient treatment plans within a state-of-the-art medical facility. Key Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic MRI and CT procedures in accordance with established protocols and safety guidelines.
- Prepare patients for procedures, including explaining the process, answering questions, and ensuring patient comfort and safety.
- Operate and maintain MRI and CT equipment, performing quality control checks and troubleshooting minor issues.
- Administer contrast media as directed by a physician and monitor patients for adverse reactions.
- Ensure accurate patient positioning and image acquisition, optimizing image quality.
- Review images for quality and completeness, making necessary adjustments.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
- Collaborate effectively with radiologists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals.
- Adhere to all HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality.
- Participate in continuing education and professional development activities.
Required Skills
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Radiologic Technology.
- Current ARRT certification (R.T. (R), R.T. (MR), or R.T. (CT)).
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as an MRI and/or CT Technologist.
- Proficiency in operating advanced MRI and CT imaging equipment.
- Strong understanding of cross-sectional anatomy and imaging principles.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment.
- Commitment to patient safety and quality care.
Preferred Qualifications
- Dual ARRT certification in both MRI (R.T. (MR)) and CT (R.T. (CT)).
- Experience with multiple vendor imaging systems (e.g., Siemens, GE, Philips).
- Knowledge of EPIC EMR system.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Experience in a large hospital or outpatient imaging center setting.
