Job Description

We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Medical Records Pharmacy Aide to join our growing team. This role is crucial for maintaining the accuracy and accessibility of our patient medical records, with a strong focus on data entry and filing within the pharmacy department. The ideal candidate will be responsible for organizing, entering, and retrieving sensitive patient information, ensuring compliance with all privacy regulations and hospital policies. Key Responsibilities

  • Accurately enter patient medical data into electronic health records (EHR) systems.
  • Maintain and organize physical and digital medical records, ensuring all documents are filed correctly and are easily retrievable.
  • Assist pharmacy staff with record-keeping tasks related to medication dispensing and patient histories.
  • Perform regular audits of records to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with healthcare regulations.
  • Process requests for medical records in a timely and confidential manner.
  • Scan and index documents into the appropriate patient files.
  • Protect patient privacy by adhering to HIPAA guidelines and hospital confidentiality policies.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless flow of information.
  • Assist with other administrative duties as assigned by the pharmacy manager or lead.
  • Identify and report any discrepancies or issues with medical records.

Required Skills

  • Proficiency in data entry and strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Basic computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.
