Job Description

Valvoline Instant Oil Change is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Lube Shop Assistants to join our fast-paced team in Cincinnati. Key Responsibilities

  • Perform basic automotive services, including oil changes, tire rotations, and fluid checks, under supervision.
  • Assist technicians with more complex vehicle maintenance tasks.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including bays and tools.
  • Greet customers warmly and assist them with service check-in and vehicle intake procedures.
  • Operate point-of-sale systems and handle customer transactions accurately.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies.
  • Continuously learn and apply new technical knowledge and skills through provided training.
  • Inspect vehicles for visible issues and recommend additional services as appropriate.

Required Skills

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong commitment to safety and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
  • Valid driver's license (preferred, but not strictly required for all duties).
  • Eagerness to learn and develop automotive technical skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a customer service role.
  • Basic understanding of vehicle maintenance (e.g., personal car maintenance).
  • ASE certifications (entry-level or student status).
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends.
