Job Description
We are seeking highly skilled and motivated Rev-Style Transcriptionists to join our remote team. This is a fast-paced contract role perfect for individuals who are detail-oriented, have exceptional listening skills, and can accurately transcribe audio and video content quickly. You will be responsible for converting spoken content into precise written text, maintaining our high standards for quality and turnaround time. This is a 100% remote position, allowing you to work from the comfort of your own laptop.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately transcribe audio and video content into written text, adhering to strict style guides and formatting requirements.
- Ensure high levels of accuracy, grammar, punctuation, and spelling in all transcriptions.
- Meet tight deadlines and manage multiple transcription projects simultaneously.
- Review and proofread completed transcripts for errors and inconsistencies.
- Utilize transcription software and tools effectively to enhance productivity and quality.
- Maintain confidentiality and security of all sensitive information.
- Communicate effectively with team leads regarding project status or challenges.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in transcription, preferably in a fast-paced or 'Rev-Style' environment.
- Exceptional listening skills and a keen ear for detail.
- Excellent command of English grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
- Proficiency with transcription software and tools (e.g., foot pedal, express scribe).
- Ability to type at least 60 WPM with high accuracy.
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
- Reliable internet connection and a personal computer/laptop.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote setting.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with journalistic terminology or media content.
- Experience transcribing multi-speaker conversations or technical content.
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.
