Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Junior Downstream Operations Support specialist to join our team in Spokane, Washington. This entry-level position is ideal for individuals eager to start a career in the energy industry, specifically within downstream operations such as logistics, distribution, and supply chain. You will work closely with experienced professionals, learning the intricacies of petroleum product movement, inventory management, and operational reporting. This role requires a proactive approach, excellent organizational skills, and a commitment to contributing to efficient and safe operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in monitoring and tracking the movement of refined petroleum products through pipelines, barges, and trucks.
  • Support inventory management processes, including data entry and reconciliation of product volumes.
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports for management review.
  • Coordinate with various internal departments (e.g., logistics, trading, accounting) to ensure smooth operations.
  • Help maintain operational data in relevant systems and databases, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Learn and adhere to all safety protocols and environmental regulations.
  • Respond to and resolve basic operational inquiries, escalating complex issues as needed.
  • Participate in training programs and continuous learning initiatives to develop industry knowledge and skills.

Required Skills

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
