Job Description
Are you a friendly, helpful, and energetic individual looking for a new opportunity? Premier Inn in Doncaster is seeking a dedicated Hotel Porter to join our supportive team. This is a fantastic chance to become a vital part of our hotel operations, ensuring our guests have a seamless and enjoyable stay from the moment they arrive. You’ll be the first friendly face many guests see, assisting with luggage, providing information, and ensuring the smooth running of our lobby and public areas. Key Responsibilities
- Warmly welcome guests upon arrival and assist with luggage handling, ensuring a smooth check-in process.
- Escort guests to their rooms, providing assistance with inquiries about hotel facilities and local attractions.
- Maintain the cleanliness and tidiness of the hotel lobby, entrance, and other public areas.
- Assist with the delivery of guest amenities, parcels, and messages to rooms.
- Provide minor maintenance support and report any significant issues to the appropriate department.
- Conduct regular security checks and maintain a visible presence in public areas.
- Respond promptly and courteously to guest requests and complaints, escalating when necessary.
- Support other hotel departments (e.g., reception, housekeeping) as needed during busy periods.
- Ensure all health and safety guidelines are adhered to at all times.
Required Skills
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lift and carry luggage and other items safely.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- A positive, can-do attitude and a proactive approach to tasks.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a hotel or customer service role.
- Knowledge of the local Doncaster area and attractions.
- Basic first aid certification.
