Job Description
We are seeking enthusiastic and reliable General Utility Hands to join our dynamic warehouse team in Glasgow. This entry-level position is perfect for individuals eager to start a career in logistics, offering comprehensive training in all aspects of picking, packing, and general warehouse operations. You will be an integral part of our daily operations, ensuring efficient movement of goods and contributing to a smooth supply chain. This is an on-site role, requiring a commitment to safety and teamwork.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform accurate picking of products from warehouse locations based on order sheets.
- Carefully pack items into appropriate containers, ensuring products are secure for transit.
- Label packages accurately and prepare them for shipment.
- Assist with loading and unloading of deliveries.
- Operate warehouse equipment safely and efficiently (e.g., pallet jacks, hand trucks) after proper training.
- Conduct regular inventory checks and report discrepancies.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift and move packages up to 25 kg.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong work ethic and reliability.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic understanding of warehouse safety procedures.
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment is a plus, but not required.
- Forklift certification (training can be provided).
