Job Description
FedEx Express is actively seeking dedicated and energetic individuals to join our team in South Gate. This is an immediate hiring opportunity for various operational roles vital to our express delivery services. Key Responsibilities
- Handle packages and freight efficiently, ensuring safe and timely sorting, loading, and unloading.
- Operate various equipment, including package scanning devices and material handling equipment, as required.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies to maintain a secure working environment.
- Support ground operations by preparing and consolidating shipments for delivery or dispatch.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth workflow and meet operational goals.
- Perform other related duties as assigned to support daily operations.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift and move packages weighing up to 50 lbs (23 kg) regularly, and up to 75 lbs (34 kg) occasionally.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Effective communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, or related operational role.
- Experience with material handling equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks).
