Key Responsibilities
- Assist certified rig welders with various tasks, including preparing materials, cleaning, grinding, and positioning components.
- Transport tools, equipment, and materials to and from the worksite safely and efficiently.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment at all times, adhering strictly to company safety protocols.
- Learn to identify, handle, and properly use a variety of welding tools, equipment, and consumables.
- Follow precise instructions from welders, foremen, and supervisors to support project execution.
- Perform general labor duties and site maintenance as required to ensure smooth operations.
- Participate actively in all safety meetings and training sessions.
Required Skills
- Strong work ethic and a genuine willingness to learn the welding trade.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions accurately and efficiently.
- Commitment to adhering to all safety guidelines and procedures.
- Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and work in various outdoor weather conditions.
- Basic understanding of common hand tools.
- Reliable transportation to the job site.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Previous experience in a construction, industrial, or manufacturing environment (even general labor) is a plus.
- Basic mechanical aptitude or experience with hands-on tasks.
- Valid driver's license.
