Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dining Suite Assembler to join our team in Calgary. In this role, your primary focus will be on the precise and efficient assembly of dining chairs, typically handling 4-6 chairs per dining suite. You will be responsible for ensuring that all furniture pieces meet our high standards for quality, safety, and customer satisfaction. This position requires strong manual dexterity, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble various models of dining chairs according to manufacturer specifications and quality standards.
- Verify all components are present and free from defects before assembly begins.
- Utilize hand and power tools safely and efficiently to complete assembly tasks.
- Inspect finished products for stability, alignment, and overall quality.
- Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Report any discrepancies, missing parts, or quality issues to the supervisor.
- Collaborate with warehouse and delivery teams to ensure assembled items are ready for shipment or showroom display.
- Meet daily assembly targets while maintaining a high level of accuracy and craftsmanship.
Required Skills
- Proven manual dexterity and ability to work with small components.
- Basic proficiency with common hand tools (screwdrivers, wrenches) and power tools (drills).
- Strong attention to detail and a keen eye for quality.
- Ability to read and interpret assembly instructions and diagrams.
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, lift, and bend for extended periods.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to lift and move furniture components weighing up to 50 lbs.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in furniture assembly or a similar manufacturing/assembly role.
- Experience working in a warehouse or distribution center environment.
- Familiarity with various types of fasteners and hardware.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
