Job Description
MUSC Health is actively seeking talented and dedicated Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) to fill various specialty roles across our expanding system in Charleston, SC. We are looking for Physician Assistants (PAs), Nurse Practitioners (NPs), Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs), and other advanced practice professionals who are passionate about delivering exceptional patient care within an academic medical environment. These roles offer a unique opportunity to work in diverse clinical settings, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and contribute to the education of future healthcare leaders. Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive patient care, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up, under the supervision of a collaborating physician where applicable.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, prescribe medications, and perform therapeutic procedures in accordance with practice guidelines and state regulations.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans, ensuring continuity of care and patient education.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes.
- Participate in clinical rounds, case conferences, and educational activities.
- Maintain accurate and timely patient records through electronic health systems.
- Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and adherence to evidence-based practices.
Required Skills
- Current Advanced Practice Provider license in South Carolina (e.g., APRN, PA-C).
- Master's or Doctoral degree from an accredited program (e.g., MSN, DNP, PA-C).
- Current national board certification relevant to the specialty area.
- Active DEA registration and prescriptive authority.
- BLS and ACLS certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Excellent clinical judgment, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in an advanced practice role within a relevant specialty.
- Experience working in an academic medical center environment.
- Demonstrated leadership potential and ability to work autonomously.
- Commitment to continuous learning and professional growth.
